Sales manager Middle East / Africa
We are looking for a Sales manager Middle East / Africa.
For our Amsterdam headquarter we are looking for an experienced Sales manager for the Middle East and African market. You will be independently selling our full product range of chemical raw materials to clients and negotiating agreements. You will develop existing and new business and customers, expanding the product portfolio by developing existing and new products. You will follow, respond to, and report market trends, and are prepared to travel to destinations.
ECEM European chemical marketing is a successful global specialized distributer for chemical raw materials used in amongst others Coatings, Adhesives, Polyurethane and other industries, for which we hold stocks in Europe to service our customers in bulk and packed materials. We import and export our materials worldwide and service global multinational customers with local supply. We have offices in UK, Japan, Brasil and recently expanded by opening our USA office. The commercial department is the basis of our company in which customer service is paramount, but obviously commercial mentality is essential. A provocative environment for commercially talented individuals!
You will team up with a varied multicultural team of 5 colleagues who have regional responsibilities. You will offer and follow-up business and pro-actively, chase development business for our full product range and report to our product managers. Initiating business at new and existing customers, in consultation with our supply chain and logistics, for which of course profitability is the key. And ensure the agreed business is supplied 100% OTIF (in time in full).
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in commerce and economics.
- 2-4 year experience in the international trade of goods.
- Proven track record in Key account management and business/customer development.
- Fluent Dutch, English and Arabic.
- Self-starter, who can work independently and ask for support if necessary.
- Strong ability to independently determine priorities and solve problems.
- Excellent communications skills, written, presentation and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills, curious, structured and accurate and able to work in a competitive environment.
- Well experienced in MS Office, and easily picking up new automation systems.
