Description and uses

Epichlorohydrin is a major raw material used in the manufacture of epoxy and phenoxy resins. It is also used as a solvent and in the synthesis of glycerol. Other uses include that of insect fumigation and as a chemical intermediate for the formation of glycidyl acrylate derivatives such
as those used in the formation of eyeglass lenses.
